This year Jumonville was different. We had less people than usual and we almost had to cancel the weekend or go somewhere else. The leaders were dissappointed that the excitement for this weekend seemed to be dissappearing. But God had plans for us. We went with our little group and braved snow and cold and fog. We worshipped and played games and discussed things like the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and the importance of prayer. We took time out to pray for ourselves, each other, our church and the missionaries we support along with issues going on in the world. Each leader shared some scripture, a "life verse" and why that is important to them. Each student also got to share a verse and how God was working in them. What a joy to hear! God really used the time we had together for growing deeper with Him and with each other. Please continue to pray for the student ministry, that God will continue to surprise us and grow us in His love and understanding. What a great weekend it was!
