Sr High spring retreat coming up!!

One of my favorite places in the world is Jumonville. Located an hour and a half or so away in Hopwood PA, MPC youth have been going there for about 20 years! It has always been a place of fun, fellowship and spiritual renewal. It is worth taking a weekend out of our busy lives to reflect and refocus especially in this Lenten season. This year we really want to focus on  discipleship and worshiping together as well as worshiping in our own ways and growing deeper in our relationship with our Lord all while having a ton of fun being away together. If you are in Senior high, you do not want to miss this weekend!! Senior High

At Senior High on Sunday nights we are disussing the book SHAPE. the book talks about Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences to discover how uniquely God made you and how to uncover your specific Kingdom purpose and better understand His plan for your life. Memorial Park Church has used this book in classes in the recent past and it has been a positive experience for those who participated. We feel it is a great opportunity for the students to really take a look at how they are made and loved by God and how they are wired. And look at what we can do with the combination of gifts, passions and experiences we have for the glory of God. As adult leaders many of us have said we wished we would have had such an experience when we were at that age. We are also looking into scripture to see what is says about each of these areas and meeting in small groups each week to discuss. And of course along with that we always have plenty of fun and games!
